The project started long before the client contacted us, as there was already an approved project that was later abandoned, leaving the skeleton of the existing building in place. The area where the house is located has the privilege of being located north-south and on an elevation where you can enjoy all the mountain views to the nearest city, Portimão, as well as the immensity of the ocean.

From the outset, it was a matter of taking advantage of the existing structure because in terms of sustainability and reuse of resources, the work would be more favored, in addition to achieving a huge reduction in the ecological footprint. Thus, the work was carried out according to the existing structure (U-shaped facing south), which favored the views of the landscape and was located in one of the highest areas of the land. 

Being a project with a touristic aspect, different relationships and environments were created between outdoor and indoor spaces where there was a commitment, outside the house, to create organic paths that give clues to how to reach different leisure spaces.
